On our upcoming Rare Book Auction on November 21 we are delighted to have been commissioned to sell part of the interesting library of the late antiquarian bookdealer Björn Löwendahl (1941-2013). Most of the books, maps and manuscripts in this collection deals with China or the surrounding areas.
All the items described in: Löwendahl, China illustrata nova. Supplement (2012), will be up for sale.
Amongst others: L'estat present de la Chine, en figures by Bouvet, with 43 engraved plates (1697), Plinius Secundus, Historia Naturalis printed in Rome 1473, and Museum Wormianum, Amsterdam 1745.
We are also offering many other interesting items, for example the beautiful and rare work Klänge by Wassily Kandinsky, published in 1913, Le Brun (Bruyn), Voyages... par la Moscovie, en Perse, et aux Indes Orientales..., 1718 and Delisles's Russischer Atlas with 22 engraved maps, printed in 1745.
