4:o (about 264x210 mm). 1 engraved frontispiece portrait of the author (dampstained in outer margin, some foxing), 1 large folding engraved map (some foxing), 15 engraved plates, of which 5 coloured (all, minor foxing, some minor offsetting from plates to text), 6 leaves engraved music.
New green half morocco, spine in six compartments, speckled edges. (H. Vinlöv, Umeå). Minor foxing. Old bookplates (in vol. II) of Bertram Lloyd and George Thomas Mowbray. 2 volumes.

According to Bring two editions were printed the same year, this edition is the later one with the printer's name on bottom of the title leaves and on the last page of each part.
