Books, Maps & Manuscripts - consignments are now accepted

We are now accepting consignments for our upcoming hammer auction Books, Maps & Manuscripts.

Amongst others we are interested in scientific firsts, natural history, writings of Linnaeus and his disciples as Sparrman and Kalm, as well as important works regarding Russia, Asia, China and The Middle East. Fine Western medieval manuscripts, incunabulas and rare 16th-century prints are always of interest.

Also rare maps and atlases in fine condition, such as Ortelius, Speed or Goos as well as works with well-known provenance or fine bindings. Of importance are also old manuscripts or signed documents and photography from the 1800s.

Stockholms Auktionsverk was founded in 1674 and we are proud to continue the long standing tradition of our Books, Maps & Manuscript sales. Our auctions are well attended and many objects have reached high international prices. In 2019 an important mineralogical work by James Sowerby reached the hammer price of 430.000 sek and Guiseppe Zocchi's impressive work on Florence the sum of 120.000 sek.
