Selected Wines & Spirits 9-11 November
On Monday 9th of November the seventh Fine Wine & Spirits Auction of the year will be held. A total 515 lots from classic wine regions, such as Grand Cru Champagnes, Premier Crus from Bordeaux, top quality Burgundy, for example Romanée Conti, Vintage Ports from Douro, very old Madeira and Tokay. There will also be wines from California, Australia and South America. This time though, we will find the most extra ordinary lots among the destillates, for example Martell Premier Voyage and a rare 50 Year old Macallan from 1928.
Martell Premier Voyage
The Martell House was founded 1715. This cognac is a special edition for the 300th Anniversary, a limited edition of 300 bottles in a specially designed wooden presentation case and coverage piece of art made by Bernard Venet, with three arc clusters representing one century each for the 300th anniversary of the House of Martell. Cellar Master Benoit Fil has chosen 18 different eux de vie's, 17 from Grand Champagne and 1 from Borderies, from between 1868 to 1977, to create Premier Voyage. Blended and aged in barrels made from a 300 year old tree from Bertranges. Including a special pipette for drawing out the cognac. Each of the limited 300 pieces are individually signed and numbered.
