A Famille Rose 'Double Peacock' Tureen, Cover and Stand, of octagonal shape with hare-head handles, the cover with finial shaped as a pomegranate, enamelled and gilt decor depicting two peacocks on rock work in garden with large blooming peony, rims and base with floral frieze, Qianlong period (1736-1795), tureens height c. 20 cm stands diameter c. 38 cm, minor firing defects, stand and handle with nick, the stand with slightly different decoration
