A 'Cizhou' Dark-Blue and Brown Glazed Ribbed Jar, of compressed globular form rising to a short neck, supported on a straight foot, carved around the exterior with five groups of three vertical ribs, applied overall with a lustrous brownish and dark-blue glaze thinning to white on the rises, save for the foot and the knife-pared rim revealing a light-grey stoneware body, the interior covered with a thin transparent glaze, Northern Song dynasty, 11/12th century, according to TL-test no 01220312 by Ralf Kotalla 17 April 2012, diameter c. 12 cm, minor wear
