An Archaic Bronze Ritual Wine Vessel ´Gu´, of waisted cylindrical form with a wide trumpet mouth tapering to a slightly bulging belly and a flared foot, the belly cast in low relief with two pairs of bosses and flanges forming taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, the foot similarly cast, the surface and interior covered with malachite and earthen encrustations, Shang dynasty (1600-1028 BCE), height c. 27 cm, damages, holes
