Einar Forseth´s father, Ole Andreas Forseth (1859-1823) was a Norwegian litographer. His mother, Hilda, née Borg (1962-1948), was Swedish. Forseth grew up in Örebro in Sweden where his father ran a lithographic printing company where Forseth studied between 1905-06. The present work was drawn during his studies at the Royal Academy in Stockholm between 1912-15. Forseth is today most famous for his mosaics in the Townhall in Stockholm where the nobel festivities are staged annually.
