A CARVED DINGYAO ´DAY-LILY´ DISH, with slightly rounded, flared sides rising to a gently everted rim, the interior carved with a curling day-lily blossom within a line border, covered overall with an ivory-toned glaze continuing over the foot and base, the rim unglazed, Song dynasty, 10/11th century, diameter c. 17 cm

PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The dish was purchased from Sidney Moss, 1962 in London
