A JUNYAO DISH, molded with an upright rim to the shallow curving well and raised on a narrow foot ring with deeply recessed base, the cloudy blue/green glaze applied to all surfaces except the foot ring, the glaze burning to a pale brown where thinly applied along the rim, marked with label ´Bluett & Sons, London´, Northern Song/Jin dynasty, 12/13th century, diameter c. 18 cm

PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The dish was purchased from ´Bluett and Sons´, 1961 in London.
