Beskrivning

A LAVENDER-BLUE GLAZED JUNYAO BOWL, covered in a bluish-purple colour thinning to a mushroom tone at the rim, the glaze pooling neatly around the foot, the base partly glazed, together with receipt from 1964, Song/Yuan dynasty, 13th century, diameter c. 18.5 cm

PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The bowl was purchased in Lund 1964 from Leif Houmann. Formerly in the collection of the Executive Director Rudolph Rubow (1861-1933). He acquired the object in Berlin during the early 20th century.
