A YUEYAO GREEN-GLAZED JAR, of compressed globular form with incised string bands, flanked by two loop handles, Six Dynasties (221-589), diameter c. 12.5 cm

PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The jar was purchased by Petersfield Galleries at an auction in December 1960 at Sotheby's, London, earlier in the collection of P H Guimaraens.
