Folio. (1)-24 (printed title missing as often, upper wrapper to a fascicule as title) pp. Lithograph extra title, 98 partly coloured lithograph plates (lacks 2 plates, minor foxing).
Contemporary brown half leather, worn, cracks in upper joint, mended in the joints, spine in five compartments, mended at foot and mended in the hinges.

Carl Johan Billmark (1804-70), Swedish landscape painter, artist, lithograph. He left Sweden in 1833 and lived in Paris where he studied under Deroy. Billmark travelled to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and later published studies in this famous work, "A Journey from Stockholm to Naples".
