4:o (254x197 mm.). (26), 1-152, (8) pp. Title with woodcut printer's device, 1 engraved vignette, 93 engraved plates (all, partly some light dampstaining in upper margin).
Contemporary brown mottled calf, worn, spine in six compartmenbts, gilt library "stamp" at foot, red edges. Partly some light dampstaining in upper margin. Library duplicate label on inside of upper cover.
A description of the models, etc. collected by the author's grandfather Nicolas Grollier, a French soldier of fortune, born in Lyon in 1593 and died in 1686.
This is a reissue of the second edition (1733). The work originally appeared in 1719.
