GUSTAV VASA, GUSTAV I OF SWEDEN, GUSTAV ERIKSSON VASA (1496-1560) King of Sweden, the first of the line of Vasa who ruled Sweden until 1809.
Document in folio, one page, with the text "Under wårtt Secret" (=under our seal) and with his seal. Dated Gripsholms slott, February 10, in 1547. With adress. A letter of bestowal (förläningsbrev) for Gabriel Kristiernsson Oxenstjerna to Mörby.
Left margin with large paper losses, stain on first letter ( on "Wii"), some spotting, folds, minor holes and tears.
Together with a autograph letter signed Gabriel Kristiernsson Oxenstierna, dated Mörby, February 26, 1581, small 4to (damaged with text loss, loss of seal, some tears, in two parts).
Gabriel Kristiernsson Oxenstierna to Mörby (c.1500-1586), became Swedish councillor in 1544, at the cornation of Erik XIV (oldest son of Gustav I) he was appointed baron 1561. He was the only living member of his line to survive the "Stockholm Bloodbath" in 1520.
Gustav Letters with the seal of Gustav Vasa are very rare.
