Vol. I contemporary brown half calf, slightly worn, richly gilt spine in six compartments, red edges, the other volumes new brown half calf in style as vol. I, richly gilt somewhat faded and spotted spines in six compartments, red edges. A few leaves with some minor dampstaining in upper margin. Bookplate of Nils Gyldenstolpe. 9 volumes.

Provenance: Nils Carl Gustaf Fersen Gyldenstolpe (1886-1961), Swedish explorer , zoologist and ornithologist (taxonomy was Gyldenstolpe´s main interest), "Lord of the Bedchamber" to king Gustaf V of Sweden, worked from 1914 on at the Swedish State Natural History Museum. Scientific expeditions to Africa, Asia, and New Guinea. His main works are on birds from South America, the only continent he had not himself visited.
