Later half vellum red spine labels, at foot the gilt stamp of Gustaf Bernström, shaved upper edges, otherwise uncut. (bound by Hedberg). Some foxing. Signature on title to vol. I of V(ilhelm). Hisinger and Bernström's note "Coll. cat." at the inside of cover. 2 volumes.
Soulsby 480a, Hulth 89-92. First edition. "The foundation of "binary nomenclature" in botany, and thus the starting-point of modern botanical nomenclature." (Sandbergs bokhandel, catalogue 12).
Probably with the cancellated leaves 75-76, 89-90 and 259-60 and therefore the second issue that Linnaeus himself had replaced and reprinted.
