Contemporary half calf, partly rubbed and worn, lower cover with some staining, gilt spine in compartments and title label, partly faded, red edges.
Soulsby 1095a, Hulth 129. First edition of Linnaeus description of queen Louisa Ulrica's natural cabinet at Drottningholm which amongst others had material which Kalm, Osbeck and Hasselquist had collected. In his 12th edition of the "Systema" Linnaeus refers to the entomological and conchological part of the work.
