Contemporary brown calf, somewhat worn, slightly faded richly gilt spine in seven compartments, damages at head, speckled edges. Title browned in outer margin, minor foxing.

First edition. Deals with the protestant mission in India, with descriptions of customs of the inhabitants, landscape descriptions, religious customs, cultural information on East India, and more.
