Later brown full calf from 20th century, gilt spine with gilt title. Some spotting and foxing, some worming to margin in the beginning of vol. I. 2 volumes..
Du Rietz 1221. Pritzel 9784. Second edition in English, also called first Dublin edition, of Sparrman's account of James Cook's second voyage. Sparrman worked on board the Resolution and his description includes an appendix of the language of the Hottentots. The extremely rare Swedish original was published between 1783-1818.
