Oblong folio (260x344 mm). Engraved title and 12 engravings of the months with scenes of the life of Christ by A. Collaert after Hans Bol. Each month also have its sign of the zodiac. Plates c. 155x205 mm, whole sheet 260x344 mm (complete, title with some soiling and creasing to margins, a few plates with stains to margins, fade dampstaining affecting lower left part of plates, all plates with numbers in ink and some other minor notes to upper margin, some ink spots, last plate with tear to margin, plate 4 with repair to lower margin, lower corner partly creased). Disbound.
Hans Bol (1534-1593), artist born in the Netherland, celebrated for his imaginative small-scale works, extensive landscapes with Gothic castles etc.
