LAPLAND. (7). HAGEMANN, GUSTAV (1891-1982). 10 drypoint etchings on 7 signed leaves, leaves total size 650x460 mm. All under passepartout. From the series "Lappen zeichnen ihr Leben", produced between 1928-34, and appeared first at Galerie Ferdinand Möller in Berlin 1938.

The drypoint etchings are after illustrations by Samian artists, whose names are inscribed in pencil on the etchings.
The artists are Nils Valssenpau, Gustav Valssenpau, Jon Jonsson H., Lars Hunni, Jon Nilsson Jonsso, and 2 without name.
The motifs depicts everyday life and spiritual traditions, an epos of the Samian culture.
