Publisher´s original blue blind-stamped cloth, gilt spines and boards, partly worn and rubbed, some spots, front hinge and upper joints to volume 1 partly cracked, slightly loose in bindings. 3 volumes.

Winkelmann 455. Issued in 30 leaflets, each with text and 3 engraved plates, including the three title leaves, that all has an engraved view. The views are engraved after drawings by Wilhelm Siegfried Stavenhagen (1814-81) and is considered his most important work. "Album Baltischer Ansichten" contains steel engravings after his drawings, showing monuments of the antiquity, manors, castles, panoramas of cities etc. Each illustration has a rather extensive explanation of the history of the object drawn in the illustration, by a number of authors.
