Contemporary interesting full calf binding, decor of large white inlays, red spine in compartments with four raised white bands and gilt titles, red and white edges, inner doblures and first free endpaper in silver (spine faded, partly rubbed, some minor spots). Bookplate of the binder (as a flyleaf bound in).

Olof Degerstedt MdE (1908-19) studied 1930-31 at the University of Fine Arts (Landeskunstschule) in Hamburg where his teacher was the well-known Franz Weisse. He was later head of the famous bindery at Nordiska Bokhandeln, Stockholm, from 1947 until 1977 when they closed down. (Mästarband 1630-1980, printed 1980).
