Folio (503x380 mm). Engraved title, 39 engraved plates (all, including full-page plate with the coat-of-arms of Haarlem with a view of the city in the background and full-page portraits of counts and countesses of Holland, Zeeland, and West-Frisia within oval ornamental borders with coats-of-arms), all engraved by Cornelis Visscher (complete, 2 plates with repairs partly affecting plates, some folds, some dampstaining to margins, occasional light spotting).
Contemporary gilt-stamped vellum, central arabesque medallion on each cover, spine gilt, gilt edges, partly soiled and with some spotting, outer joints and corners partly restored, inner joints split, covers warped, new leather ties. Title with repaired tear to and with outer margin reinforced, some scribble to margin, leaf 2 with repaired margin, endpaper repaired. Pencil notes to inside of cover.
