Size small 8vo (131x130 mm for binding, 611x200 mm for the shelf). Engraved frontispiece in each volume.
Finely bound in green or brownish paper boards with spines of parchment, on lower spine the gilt number of the volume in roman digits, last volume with index in grey and green paper boards, all spines together formes the name "SHAKESPEARE", lettering by Lars Laurentii, upper edges gilt. Housed in a modern wooden bookshelf.
A complete set of 40 books.

The publishing firm of J. M. Dent and Company was founded in 1888 and in 1909 it became J.M. Dent & Sons. The Temple Shakespeare series first appeared in 1894.
Johanna Röjgård-Sjöberg (born 1960), studied at Bogbinderskolen in Copenhagen and in Centro del bel Libro / Ascona, Switzerland. Exhibitions in amongst others New York, Paris and Beijing.
