(14, lacks engraved frontispiece), 1-116, 116-117, 117-118, 117-290, (2), 1-135, (1 blank) pp. Title printed in red and black with engraved vignette (lacking engraved frontispiece), engraved portrait, engraved folding map (laid down on linen, mended in the foldings), 34 folding engraved views and plates (2 with mended tears, partly some marginal dampstaining, minor foxing), 110 engravings in text.
Later (19th century) brown half leather, worn, gilt spine in compartments, damages at head and foot. Last leaf with mended marginal tear. Partly some marginal dampstaining, minor foxing. Signature on title of William Stallard

Löwendahl 127. Originally published in Dutch earlier in the same year, this is the first French edition, enlarged by the editor/translator with a second part ""Déscription général de l´empire de la Chine".
The views includes Macau (Aomen), Canton (Guangzhou), Dayu, Ganzhou, Nanchang, Nanjing, Anqing, Wuhu, Yangzhou, landscapes and natural history subjects.
