Later (late 17th century) half vellum, worn, damaged upper doublure, spine label worn, green edges. Old stamp in lower margin of title. Old signature on first endpaper.

Nicholas Leonicus Thomaeus (1456-1531), Italian, professor of Philosophy in Padua. Renowned in Padua as the first professor to teach Aristoteles in the original Greek. One of his disciples was the young Nicolaus Copernicus. He was highly praised by Erasmus Roterodamus as a universal genius.
