The original study plan for the Danish Defence College founded by King Fredrerik VI on May 3, 1830, this text documents an important transformation in european military establishments of the early 19th-century. Aiming to form a new generation of staff officers, it describes for first time a study program were linguistics, economics, statistics and administration are included together with more classical military subjects such as artillery and ballistics.
