Large folio (530x330 mm). Hand-coloured engraved title (of Atlas Novus), with 34 hand-coloured double page engraved maps in contemporary colour, size c. 490x580 mm (not complete, of 50, maps of Europe, Russia a.o., partly with dampstaining and spotting, some marginal repairs, maps partly yellowed (see list and specific damages below). Together with 4 loose engraved maps.
Text 1-38, (14) pp. Loosely and disbound: Printed title and text: 1-8, 17-40 pp. (from another copy).

Contemporary soft leather, blindtooled title on upper cover, partly worn, some damages, partly warped covers.
Printed title loose, signature C. O. Sjöberg, Mönsterås (Sweden) 1819, text in the beginning loose.

Maps after Lowitz, Haas, Majer, Schatz, Nell, Boehmius and others.
Lacking world map and the continents amongst others.
