Hand-coloured engraved map in contemporary colour, with large figurative cartouche in black and white with Venus in a chariot. Size about 500575 mm. Some folds, occasional minor spotting to lower margin.

Rare allegorical map in the form of a typical early 18th Century Battle Plan, the assault of the armed forces of Love on the Island fortress of Manhood, set in the middle of the passionless Frozen Sea.
