Löwendahl: China illustrata nova. Supplement, 1555.
The work, first published in 1520, is a compilation from classical, medieval, and 15th century authors, of mostly ethnological material of diverse peoples of the world.
For the Mongols and Cathayans Boemus relied on the description of Giovanni da Piano Carpini. It is found on pp. 101-115.
All editions pre 1558 contain only three parts: Africa, Asia, and Europe. In 1558 a fourth part devoted to America was added.
From the library of Swedish antiquarian bookdealer Björn Löwendahl (1941-2013).
