8vo (c. 225x140 mm.). Wood-engraved frontispiece by Edward Burne-Jones, title with wood-engraved border and initials designed by William Morris. Illustrations in text. Printed in red and black with Chaucer-Type. One of 350 copies on paper. Booklabel of Edward Burne-Jones.
Untrimmed in original blue linenbacked boards with title in black, spine slightly browned. In a modern book case with blue paper with leather edges (Marlis Egli, Stockholm, 1997). Slight split near title.

The book was actually issued in November 1897, as the frontispiece by Burne-Jones was not completed until October 1897.
