Light brown half calf from late 20th century, slightly worn, split inner hinges, gilt spine with title label, red speckled edges. Title with some spotting and owner´s signature dated 1851. Slight foxing, discolouring from a plant on page 237-40 in vol I.

First edition. Soulsby 192, Bring 136, Schiötz 608a. Lacking 4 pages of advertisment for books published by F. C. and J. Rivington in vol I. Woodcut illustrations in the text.
