8vo (c. 160x150 mm.). (246, 2 blank), 676, (264, of which 6 are blank, lacks 4 blank e5-6) pp. Italic letter. Title with woodcut vignette, 8 woodcuts, woodcut coat-of-arms, 2 folding woodcut maps (Spain and France).
Later vellum, partly worn and partly renovated, some holes to covers, spine with title label in leather mounted, title written on upper edge. Text partly dampstained and spotted, some inkstains, mostly marginal, a few notes to margin, some pages browned. Title with faint signature, inkspots on the edges at the end, also affecting the margins.

First Aldine edition. A quarto edition was published the same year.
