Löwendahl: China illustrata nova. Supplement, 1674.
The author was a member of the Imperial College of Justice of St. Petersburg and his thesis was that the Americas were first settled by Chinese, the Karaite Tribe of north Asia, and Africans, by way of Kamchatka. The work is part of the on-going philosophical debate in 18th c. France between Voltaire, Needham, Pauw, Bailly, Mairan and Parrenin on the origins of the Chinese language and the people.
