(3), iv-xvi, (1)-612 (last unpaginated leaf, announcement for Brooke´s other works, lacking as usual) pp. With 1 folding lithograph map (Map of Sweden, Norway, and Lapland, size 1000x670 mm, some tears in the foldings), 22 lithographed plates, of which 8 tinted lithographs, 8 lithographed vignettes, of which 6 mounted (complete, the plates with some minor foxing, some offsetting to text or from text to verso of plates, a few textleaves foxed).
New green half morocco, spine in six compartments. (H. Vinlöv, Umeå). Old armorial bookplates of Edward Henry Scott and William Van Mildert.

William Van Mildert (1765 - 1836) was the last palatine Bishop of Durham (1826-1836), and one of the founders of the University of Durham. His name survives in Van Mildert College, founded in 1965 and the Van Mildert Professor of Divinity. (Wikipedia).
