KARL BÖHM - TWO WORKING COPIES. SHEET MUSIC (5). 2 scores of Janacek and Bartok with provenance of the Austrian conductor Karl Böhm. Together with printed sheet music by Messiaen and Stockhausen.

Authograph signed by Karl Böhm on both endpapers and with his directions and minor notes in blue and red in the score. 6 pages sewn together, 2 pages with metal clip in one corner, some soiling and minor tears to lower margins. Original printed boards, worn and soiled, black cloth spine.

Provenance for the working copies: Karl Böhm (1894-1981), Austrian conductor, best known for his performances of the music of Mozart, Wagner and Richard Strauss.
Jenufa was first performed in 1904 and at the Metropolitan Opera in 1924.
