Coster, title printed in red and black with engraved vignette (portrait partly loose, some staining from tape marks in the corners, some faint dampstaining to lower margin to portrait and title, some spotting to title), 1 engraved vignette, 61 engraved plates, including 43 anatomical plates (complete, 1 loose, a few worn in outer margin, 1 tear to outer margin, about 25 plates yellowed, partly some staining or dampstaining in lower margin, partly with some minor foxing).
Uncut in worn and stained contemporary grey wrappers, some damages to spine, handwritten title label. Text with marginal dampstaining, mostly in lower margin, some minor foxing. Old annotation in ink on inside of upper wrapper.

First edition of a classic treatise on horse medicine by G. de Saunier (1663-1748), equerry of the Duke de Lude.
