RÖJGÅRD BINDING OF THE DELUXE EDITION. BEAUVOIR, SIMONE DE. La Femme rompue. Paris (Èditions Gallimard) 1967.
Folio (390x285 mm. the binding). Illustrated with 16 original etchings by Hélène de Beauvoir. Limited edition of 30 copies, this is number 8 on fine untrimmed Japan paper (Japon nacré Kaji), total edition of 143 copies.
Binding of fine parchment with a design of two women, inlays of gold and black, spine with title lettered on a gold leaf, gilt borders on inside of boards. Black endpapers. Original printed wrapper bound in. Thin protective wrapper.
Box of blue cloth, inner doblures of yellow moire silk, spine with vellum title label lettered in gilt, only slight wear. This work was exhibited in Paris, "Relier les mots", at the Swedish Institute in Paris in 2011.
Johanna Röjgård-Sjöberg (born 1960), studied at Bogbinderskolen in Copenhagen and in Centro del bel Libro, Hugo Peller / Ascona, Switzerland. She recieved her Master diploma in 1992 and the Italian medal "Maestro rilegatore de L´infinito" in 1998. Exhibitions in the Scandinavian countries, New York, Paris and Beijing amongst others. She has recieved grants by Estrid Ericsons stiftelse and Svensk Form. http://rojgardbok.se/
