Contemporary full vellum, somewhat worn and spotted. Vol. I with some damages from damp in lower outer corner, some leaves at end also mended in outer lower corner or with worming, some minor marginal dampstaining, vol. II-III partly dampstained, mostly in the beginning and end, some foxing or spotting. Bookplate of Kristofer Enckell. 3 volumes.

First German edition, translated by J. H. Heubel. This German translation is much expanded compared to the Swedish original from 1740.
The portraits are engraved by Fritsch and depicts amongst others Charles XII, Gustav III and the author. One of the engraved vignettes is the oldest known Scandinavian picture of a working printing office.
