PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM A GERMAN SOLDIER IN WWII. "Meine Kriegserinnerungen" (title on cover). 139 black and white photographs, probably 1940-41, size c. 55x80 mm. and 55x55 mm. All loose but inset in four plastic "corners" in an album. All with tissue-paper. Only one photograph dated (some faded or yellowed, some slight foxing).
Oblong 8vo (200x300 mm.). Brown album decorated with a German helmet in metal on upper cover, only slight wear.

The album belonged to the German soldier Helmut Lüth. Photographs from Berlin, the Alps, the eastern front, and a few photographs from Norway.
Together with two official documents: A promotion for Helmut Lüth, dated Berlin 1. Mai 1940, and a "Verpflichtungschein" for Lüth, dated Lichterfelde, 2. April 1940. (folded).
