Contemporary brown full calf, worn, gilt borders, mended in the joints, gilt spine in seven compartments, some damages at head and foot,redspeckled edges. Bookplate from the library at Torup Castle in Scania, Sweden.
Scarce first editions of both works. The "Danicorum Monumentorum" may be one of the most significant work on runes ever written, founding the study of runes and runic monuments.
