Engraved map, four sheets joined, c. 940x980 mm. With large cartouche and a dedication cartouche to "Major General Thomas Shirley Bart". With four compass roses, inset map of the town of Saint John, on both sides lists of subscribers. Dissected and mounted on cloth, a few tears to folds, foxing and browning, browning to folds.

Rare and detailed map of the island of Antigua. It shows parishes, roads, windmills etc. together with sailing instructions.
John Luffman worked in London as a surveyor, publisher and goldsmith from about 1776 to 1820.
