(16), 270, (10) pp. Engraved head title, 4 engraved part titles, 6 engraved plates in part I, 138 engraved plates of shells and 5 engraved heads at the end (complete, head title trimmed or shaved, plates with slight foxing, some spotting to "heads", part title no 4 [the woman] with small spot).
Contemporary full calf binding, rebacked with old spine mounted, worn and with damages to gilt spine, speckled edges. Head title with some slight spotting, faint erased blue stamp, some spotting and staining to text, some browning to margins, 1 leaf with small hole to margin. Modern name stamp to first free endpaper.
