ORIGINAL DRAWINGS FOR RUSSIAN POSTCARDS. 65 drawings, c. 1900, water colours or sketches, a few monogram signed BZ (probably Boris Zvoykin 1872-1942), most drawings on thicker cards, about four different artists, all models for postcards, most cards / drawings with notes to the printer, some in pencil, some in ink, a few with a printed text. Partly collages. Size c. 155x100 mm., but also a few larger, c. 210x135 mm. All mounted on boards. Some with imprint from Granbergs Konstindustri aktiebolag.

Motifs from: Russia, Ukraine (39, Yalta, Astrakan, Baku, Kiev (Saint Vladimir Monument), Goursouf, Alupka a.o., 4 larger satirical drawings with Russian text (1 monogram signed, "Happy Maslenitsa!" and "Brother, what a fortification! Wide position!"), Denmark, Copenhagen (2), Norway Christiania (4), Finland, Imatra, Saima (8).
Housed in a simple album with brown paper boards, partly with some damages, some spotting.

The postcard publisher Granbergs Konstindustribolag AB was founded by Hasse W. Tullberg in Linköping, Sweden, in 1890. Karl Gustaf Granberg changed the name to Granbergs Konstindustri AB (GKA), as he took over the business a few years later. Granberg had a substantial business in Russia and the Baltics, which ended as the Russian revolution started in 1917.
