Beskrivning

A SET OF 13 BLUE AND WHITE PLATES, painted with a garden scene within a double circle surround with bamboo and other floral designs painted around the rim, early Qianlong period (1736-1795), diameter c. 22.5 cm

NOTE:
Plates with the same decoration were found on the Swedish East India Company ship "Götheborg" wrecked outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1745.

PROVENANCE:
From a Swedish private collection, purchased during the mid 20th century.
