Contemporary brown full leather, somewhat worn, gilt border, new spine with old gilt and worn spine laid down. Partly some offsetting from the woodcuts. Bookplates of Edward Bellamy and Robert Palk Mogridge.
Most of the woodcuts had appeared previously in a 1784 edition of fables, but some of them have been altered or retouched by Charlton Nesbit.
