Title printed in red and black with woodcut vignette (some wearing in lower outer margin, engraved frontispiece missing), 3 folding engraved maps (of 4, one missing, Virginiae map loose and with tear in right part, some staining and foxing), 1 engraved plate (of 2, one missing), woodcut maps and other woodcuts in the text.
Contemporary vellum, soiled and somewhat worn, loose in the hinges. A few leaves losse, last leaf with larger tear. Some foxing and staining.
A very scarce work relating to the Establisment of the Swedes in New Sweden, afterwards Pennsylvania. The work is made up from verbal accounts received from his father and notes left by his grandfather, with facts obtained from the MS. of T. Lindström, an engineer.
