Brown half calf, slightly worn spine in six compartments, upper edge gilted, otherwise uncut.
William Hyde, an American, who contributed to Harper´s Magazine and The Yellow Book. This volume is possibly the most impressive work produced by The Astolat Press and a fine example of the genre of illustrated editions of Milton´s poems. The Oxford text of Milton´s Poetical works, edited by The Rev. Canon Beeching, has been followed in this edition.
